Squatch Stack helps bring Glorywomb, a faith-filled birth companion, to iPhone and Android

A doula’s vision for pregnancy and labor: Scripture, worship and a gentle contraction timer in one calm app that works without a signal.

Glorywomb’s launch card: the app icon, “Faith-filled pregnancy and birth companion”, “Now on the App Store and Google Play”, and three phones showing the contraction timer, the home screen and a verse from the Psalms

Squatch Stack, the app studio behind squatch.cc, is proud to have helped bring Glorywomb to life: a pregnancy and birth companion for expecting mothers, grounded in faith, out today and free on the App Store and Google Play.

Glorywomb is the vision of Kaitie Johnson, its founder and creator, a certified doula and childbirth educator. Her idea was simple and beautiful: the tools a mother needs in late pregnancy and labor, held together with Scripture, prayer and worship, so she never has to leave a place of peace to time a contraction. Squatch Stack worked alongside her to design and build it.

A short tour, recorded in the app: home, the contraction timer, the kick counter, Meditate and Birth In His Presence.

What we’re proudest of

  • A contraction timer that watches the pattern for her. One tap to start, one to stop. A live chart shows the last hour, and a soft card follows the 5-1-1 pattern many providers ask mothers to watch for, or her own provider’s rule from 3-1-1 to 6-1-1. When it’s reached, a long, gentle vibration lets her feel it in her hand.
  • Faith at the heart of it. A verse of the day, 507 verses in seven translations, an anchor verse to hold on to in labor, a prayer list, and a new birth declaration with every contraction.
  • Scripture search that understands you. Type “jn 3:16”, “ps 23” or simply “strength”, and the right verse comes first, even offline.
  • Built for the delivery room. The Birth In His Presence album, calming sounds and every verse live inside the app. When hospital wifi drops, Glorywomb keeps playing.
  • Calm by design. Soft blush and cream, gentle alerts, and a screen that stays awake while she times.
  • Made for everyone. Every button is labeled for screen readers, and iPad has layouts of its own.

“In the middle of labor, with a contraction timer I couldn’t silence, I longed for Scripture, not hypnobirthing. When I couldn’t find a Biblical option, I felt the Lord stir me to create one. Glorywomb was born from that moment, so that no mother has to labor without His Word.”

— Kaitie Johnson, Founder and Creator of Glorywomb

Glorywomb's home screen: “Shalom, Kate”, the verse of the day from Psalm 34, and “Your baby is 28 weeks and the size of a head of lettuce”
Home: the verse of the day, and her baby’s size this week.

The kick counter mid-session: a large count in a blush circle, a timer, Stop and Finish session, and “Every kick is a display of this child the Lord is forming.”

Meditate: Psalm 139:13, “I praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made”, over a soft blush scene
